GridStreak ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.

Information We Collect

Information You Provide

• Email Address: Used for authentication (OTP login/signup)
• Habit Data: Habit names, types (Yes/No, Time-based, Frequency-based), and daily logs
• Pattern Selection: Your chosen visual pattern and completion progress
• Badge Progress: Achievement unlocks and gamification data

Automatically Collected Information

• Device Information: Operating system version, app version
• Usage Data: Habit logging timestamps, streak data, weekly statistics
• Local Storage: Session tokens stored securely on your device

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Authenticate and maintain your account
• Store and sync your habit tracking data across sessions
• Display your progress, streaks, and achievements
• Send daily reminder notifications (if you enable them)
• Process and manage your subscription (if you subscribe to GridStreak Pro)
• Improve app functionality and user experience

Subscriptions and Payments

GridStreak offers an optional paid subscription, GridStreak Pro, which unlocks additional features. Subscription details:

• Subscription Management: Subscriptions are managed and billed directly through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, depending on your platform. We do not collect or store your payment card information.
• Billing: Payment is charged to your App Store or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• Cancellation: You can cancel your subscription at any time through your App Store or Google Play account settings.
• Restore Purchases: You can restore a previous purchase at any time using the "Restore Purchases" option in the app.
• Subscription Data: We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status, entitlements, and purchase history. RevenueCat receives your App Store/Google Play purchase receipts and subscription status. No payment card details are shared with RevenueCat.

Data Storage and Security

• Database: Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a trusted cloud database provider
• Local Storage: Before signup, data is stored locally on your device using SharedPreferences
• Encryption: All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted using industry-standard protocols (HTTPS/TLS)
• Authentication: Session tokens are stored securely on your device

Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Third-Party Services We Use

• Supabase: Backend database and authentication provider. Supabase Privacy Policy
• RevenueCat: Subscription management and in-app purchase processing. RevenueCat receives purchase receipts and subscription status from the App Store and Google Play to validate and manage your Pro subscription. RevenueCat Privacy Policy
• Firebase (Google): Analytics and crash reporting, used to improve app stability and understand usage patterns. Data is anonymised and aggregated. Firebase Privacy Policy
• Apple App Store / Google Play: Payment processing for subscriptions. Your payment information is handled entirely by Apple or Google in accordance with their respective privacy policies.

We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

• Legal Requirements: If required by law, court order, or government regulation
• Service Providers: With trusted service providers who help us operate the app (e.g., Supabase, RevenueCat)

Your Rights and Choices

You have the right to:

• Access Your Data: View all habit data, logs, and account information within the app
• Delete Your Data: Contact us to request account and data deletion
• Opt Out of Notifications: Disable daily reminders in app Settings at any time
• Logout: Sign out and remove local data from your device at any time
• Manage Subscription: Cancel or manage your subscription at any time through your App Store or Google Play account settings

Data Retention

• We retain your data as long as your account is active
• If you delete your account, we will delete your data within 30 days
• Local data (stored before signup) is deleted when you clear app data or uninstall the app
• Subscription records may be retained as required for tax and legal compliance

Children's Privacy

GridStreak is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it immediately.

Push Notifications

If you enable daily reminders:

• We send one local notification per day at your chosen time
• Notifications are scheduled locally on your device
• You can disable reminders at any time in Settings
• We do not track whether you open or dismiss notifications

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted with a new "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
